![]() ![]() So our suggestion is that you use a Thunderbolt Dock that has an HDMI port and connect your external monitor via HDMI. Unfortunately not, when you search for a Thunderbolt hub, what you get are Thunderbolt Docks, which only have 2 Thunderbolt ports, and that doesn't solve your problem as long as you want to use a monitor that uses a Thunderbolt or Apple Mini Display Port connection. Now you can get Firewire hubs so surely the solution is a Thunderbolt hub? Sylvester, Thunderbolt can be daisy-chained just like Firewire, but the problem is a lot of peripheral manufacturers only put one Thunderbolt port on their Thunderbolt-equipped units like the Avid Thunderbolt unit and Apple Thunderbolt-equipped monitors. Anyways love the podcast and hope you could maybe guide me a little with my monitor situation. I like the Apple Thunderbolt displays but I am not sure that it will work well with my Avid HD Native system. ![]() Since the Macbook is limited to outputs that I could use, I think I would need a monitor that is Thunderbolt but I don't want have any problems with my interface that I am using. I have been recently looking to get a external monitor for when I need to mix at home and I am not on the road. ![]()
